Cortran uses the highest quality grain-oriented and non oriented silicon steel to meet all customer defined performance requirements. Our computer-generated mechanical and electrical specification sheet represents our guarantee that each core shipped will meet those specifications. Each core is individually tested before shipment. Part numbers are stamped across both core halves to facilitate matching during assembly.
Unlike our competition, our Cores are made to customer specifications. Traditionally customers chose from a list of Cores and tried to fit them to their applications. Our tolerances were tightened up to give a close fit for applications with precast windings. Flexibility in our operations allows us to deliver your orders in a timely fashion as well as to accommodate rush orders or unforeseen shortages.
